Basic english {I gotta + (verb)}

I gotta + (verb)

I gotta' is grammatically incorrect.  It is more of a spoken form.  If you want to say this with proper grammar, the equivalent would be, 'I have got to' or 'I'vegot to'.  In the spoken form, 'got to' is shortened to 'gotta' and the word 'have' is dropped.

Here are some examples:
"I gotta manage my money."
"I gotta obey the laws."
"I gotta move to a bigger house."
"I gotta impress my boss."
"I gotta brush my teeth."

By adding the word 'have' you can change what you are saying to express something that needs to be done in the near future.
Here are some examples:
"I have got to be on time to work."
"I've gotta try harder at school."
"I've gotta tell my wife I'll be late."
"I've gotta learn more about the laws."
"I've gotta clean my house today."

The words 'have to' describe something that needs to take place soon. It expresses certainty, necessity, or obligation.

You can also add the word 'don't' to suggest that someone is not required to do something.

Used to' expresses something that was done in the past, and is not usually done now.

Here are some examples:
"I used to develop websites."
"I used to jog every day."
"I used to paint."
"I used to smoke."

"I used to sing in a choir."
"I used to like vegetables."
"I used to start work at 6 o'clock."

Again, 'I have' shows possession or something acquired. By adding a past participle you are informing someone of a past or completed action done by you.

Here are some examples:
"I have done it."
"I have heard that before."
"I have driven a car."
"I have forgotten the words."
"I have read that book."
"I have eaten at that restaurant before."
"I have flown in an airplane."
"I have forgiven you."
"I have seen you before."
"I have written a letter."

By using the words 'I have' you are informing someone of something you have possession of or have acquired.

Here are some examples:
"I have a cat."
"I have a nice car."
"I have a house."

You may hear the words 'cannot' and 'won't' used with 'I have.' By adding theseyou can express what you will not put up with or allow.

Here are some examples:
"I cannot have that behavior in my house."

The word 'gonna' is incorrect grammatically. The equivalent in proper grammar would be 'going to.'  When using the word 'gonna' you are telling someone what you are planning to do at that moment or in the near future.

"I'm gonna eat some cake."
"I'm gonna send out my resume."

I am trying' informs someone that you are attempting to accomplish somethingusing bodily, mental, or spiritual strength. By adding a verb to 'I'm trying' you are pointing out exactly what it is you are attempting to do.

Here are some examples:
"I'm trying to get a job."
"I'm trying to call my family."
"I'm trying to enjoy my dinner."
"I'm trying to educate myself."
"I'm trying to explain myself."
"I'm trying new food."
"I'm trying to eat healthy."
"I'm trying to understand."

You may also hear the word 'trying' used to express a way someone is feeling.  In this manner, it expresses strain or distress.

"That marathon was very trying on me."

Describes an action you are doing.Most commonly, you would use the word'in' when entering a physical location such as a room or a building.

"Using the word 'at' helps tell someone where you currently are. The difference between 'at' and 'in' is that the physical location is general.

Here are some examples:
"I'm at the grocery."

"I'm at the doctor's office."

"I'm at the airport."However, in some cases you can use 'at' and 'in' interchangeably.

Using the word 'on' is referring to a non physical location such as your time being utilized by something else.

Chapter-7 (Use of Has / Have / Had)  useful points:-

1.Has/ have का प्रयोग वर्तमान काल (Present tense) मेंa possession, ownership तथाrelationship दिखाने के लिए होता है परन्तु hadका प्रयोग भूतकाल (Past tense) मेंapossession, ownership तथा relationshipदिखाने के लिए होता है.

2. सकारात्मक (affirmative) वाक्य बनाने के लिए structure का रूप इस प्रकार रहता है :

(i) Subject + has/ have + Noun        (वर्तमानकाल)

(ii) Subject + had + Noun                (भूतकाल)

3. नकारात्मक (Negative) वाक्य बनाने मेंstructure का रूप इस प्रकार रहता है :

(i) Subject + has/ have + not + Noun          (वर्तमानकाल)

(ii) Subject + had + not +Noun                    (भूतकाल)

4. नकारात्मक वाक्य उपर्युक्त structure के अतिरिक्त भी दो अन्य प्रकार से बनाये जा सकते हैं.इसके लिए Negative Sentences के अंतर्गत दिए गए उदाहरणोa को भली-भांति पढ़ें और उनका अभ्यास करें.

5. Has का प्रयोग He/ she तथा singular subjects के साथ किया जाता है. Have का प्रयोगI/ you/ we/6 they तथा plural subjects के साथ किया जाता है.

6. Had का प्रयोग भूतकाल में सभी subjects के साथ समान रूप से किया जाता है.

7. Hasn’t has not  का, haven’t have not का तथा hadn’t had not का संक्षिप्त एवं बहुप्रचलित रूप है.

रघु के पास मकान नहीं है.

Raghu doesn’t have a house.

Or

Raghu hasn’t any house.

हमारे पास टी.वी. नहीं था.

We had no T.V.

Or

We hadn’t any T.V.

उनके पास हथियार नहीं थे.

They had no weapons.

फिल्म में कोई कहानी नहीं थी.

राजीव के पास एक घडी है.Rajeev has a watch.

बच्चे के पास एक गुड़िया है.The baby has a doll.

उसके पास प्रतिभा है.He has talent.

मेरे पास दो बैग हैं.I have two bags.

तुम्हारे पास एक लालटेन है.You have a lantern.

हमारे पास अनुभव है.We have experience.

उनके पास धन है.They have money.

चाचाजी की दो दुकानें हैं.The uncle has two shops.

बृजेश के पास शब्दकोष था.Brijesh had a dictionary.

उसके बाल घुंघराले थे.She had curly hair.

सलमान के पास फिल्में हैं.Salman has movies. 

चोरों के पास रस्सी है. The thieves have rope.

इंद्र के पास हाथी है.Indra has an elephant.

ठेकेदार के पास ईंटें हैं.Contractor has bricks.

भारत के पास धन था.India had money.

Chapter-6 नकारात्मक वाक्य (Negative Sentences)

I shall not be hungry.

वे दुखी नहीं होंगे.

They will not be sad.

शिक्षक व्यस्त नहीं होंगे.

The teachers will not be busy.

पानी गर्म नहीं होगा.

पिताजी नाराज़ नहीं होंगे.

Father will not be angry.

Chapter-6 (Use of Shall be & Will be)

जब क्रिया के अंत में गा / गी / गे लगा हो और दी गयी स्थिति भविष्य में स्थाई रूप से बनी रहे तो ऐसे वाक्यों का अंग्रेजी अनुवाद करते समय shall be / will be का प्रयोग किया जाता है.

सामान्यत: I / we के साथ shall be तथा अन्य सभी कर्ताओं के साथ will be का प्रयोग किया जाता है.

इस अध्याय में दिए गए उदाहरणों से आपको इनका प्रयोग करने का ढंग समझ में आ जायेगा.

सकारात्मक वाक्य (Affirmative Sentences)

तुषार उपस्थित रहेगा.

Tushar will be present.

हम लोग तैयार रहेंगे.

We shall be ready.

बॉस खुश होंगे.

Boss will be happy.

तुम एक दिन एक महान व्यक्ति बनोगे.
